Charming Stay Above a Lively Tavern

friendly atmosphere immaculate room tasty breakfast

I really loved the pub. It had a friendly atmosphere and good music. The room had great interior design and it was immaculate. I especially enjoyed the great English breakfast!

The Best Stay! I'm Obsessed!

great location friendly staff comfy bed

The room had a great location plus staff were friendly. The room was super fabulous and very clean. The bed was comfy. It had everything for a night's stay including tea, coffee, and biccies! We will rebook there when visiting again for sure.

The listing says the bar has live music on weekend evenings, lasting late. I wasn't told about it, but now I know!

The top floor room was very clean and spacious. It had a comfy bed plus a good walk-in shower. Big fluffy white towels, complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, water, cookies, and useful extra touches are there.

This location is fabulous and easily walkable from the railway station. It is very near the Minster and all city center sights. I had no problems walking with crutches, so this is an advantage.

The room was clean, warm and the television worked well. The en suite was convenient and the kettle was useful. Staff members were friendly and easy to access at all hours. The full English breakfast included black pudding, a great treat. I could even customize it.

The main road made noise an issue due to poorly fitted glazing.

Acceptable Location, Disappointing Room

black mold loud noise

The location was quite convenient for exploring the area.

My room was not what I expected. I found black mold on the walls, a disturbing sight. The noise from the pub below was also quite loud, continuing late into the night. It was difficult to sleep well.
